Now it's November, Hallowe'en is over and our minds are turning to Christmas (the adverts have started on TV!) However you may feel about that for someone running a small business Christmas has already been on on our minds for some time. I started thinking about this season in the spring when I began appying for autumn and winter markets and through the summer, when I had the time, I was working on new gem set pieces for those shows as well as trying to build up a bit of stock.
Below left is a pair of gold and ruby earrings in progress and below that you can see the finished pair with some other new pieces.
Of course I have been working on a few commissions too, if you would like something special made in time for Christmas now is the time to get in touch with me, I'm always happy to chat with you about jewellery.
My next show is Made Brighton, it's my first time there and I am really looking forward to it, it's on Friday the 22nd and Saturday the 23rd at St Bartholomew's Church, Ann St, BN1 4GP.
You can find the dates of the rest of my winter shows further down, and of course if you can't make it out to any of them you can always shop online or get in touch with me directly.
It's also worth having a look at my Instagram, sometimes it takes a while for new pieces to get onto the website, admin is another large part of Christmas prep (and the life of a one woman business generally) and getting the photos done, the copy written and putting it all online is very time consuming.
That's all for now, I have work to get on with!
